Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a committed Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to provide high-quality inpatient care. This opportunity is ideal for experienced OB / GYN physicians looking to support a growing program and ensure continuity of care for patients.

Assignment Details :

  • Start Date : January 27, 2025
  • Duration : Through July 1, 2025
  • Schedule : Monday, 7 : 00 AM Saturday, 7 : 00 AM (in-house call only)
  • Patient Volume : 4-5 patients seen per shift; 1-2 admissions per shift
  • Practice Setting : Inpatient care only

Responsibilities :

  • Manage obstetric cases, including low and high-risk pregnancies
  • Perform deliveries, including routine, vaginal, C-sections, breech, and VBAC
  • Conduct gynecological procedures such as IUD insertion / removal, LEEP, and laparoscopic surgeries
  • Provide care continuity for established patients in collaboration with community physicians
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certification : Required in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS
  • Licensure : Active Texas medical license
  • EMR System : Proficiency in Cerner preferred

    • Support Structure :

  • Departmental RN and MA support available
  • Temporary privileges granted for expedited onboarding
  • Credentialing timeframe : 60-90 days (requires clean malpractice history)

    • Additional Information :

  • Travel accommodations billed separately from inclusive rate
  • Orientation provided to familiarize with the hospitals new program
