Job Opportunity : Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician

We are seeking a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to provide ongoing locum

tenens coverage. This is a great opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible professional

scheduling.

Position Overview :

Role : Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician
Location : Marshfield, MI
Coverage Type : Call Only (Restricted in-house, 24-hour OB call)
Schedule : 6 days of call coverage per month, including weekend calls (Friday and

Sunday). Post-call days are provided for recovery.

Patients : 5-10 inpatient census; 3-5 admissions per shift; 5-10 deliveries per month

Trauma Level : II

Specialty Services Available : Maternal Fetal Medicine, GYN Oncology, NICU

Responsibilities :

Handle deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections, low forceps, breech, multiple

births, and complicated cases.

Address GYN emergencies and perform gynecological procedures such as IUD

placements, colposcopies, cryosurgeries, LEEPs, and tubal ligations.

Conduct circumcisions and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I and II).

Provide inpatient rounding and ensure timely decision-making for c-section and high-risk

pregnancies.

Qualifications :

Board Certification : Required in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Board-Eligible.

Certifications Needed : BLS and PALS.

Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers when required.

Experience with VBACs and repairing 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations is preferred.

EMR System : Cerner

Privileges : Temporary privileges available (estimated credentialing time is 60 days).

Support Staff : Includes RNs, MAs, PAs / NPs, and office staff.

On-Site Amenities : Access to Maternal Fetal Medicine and GYN Oncology services.
