Locum Tenens Pediatric Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Tenens Pediatric Physician to provide critical on-call support for our Obstetrics / Gynecology and Emergency Departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for pediatric specialists committed to delivering high-quality care.

Assignment Details :

Start Date : January 1, 2025
Schedule : 10 days per month, on-call coverage
Call Type : Beeper, with a required 30-minute response time
Practice Setting : Inpatient focus

Responsibilities :

Manage neonatal and pediatric ventilation, including non-invasive techniques (NeoPuff) and intubation (ETT / NT)

Provide acute and chronic care management for neonates and pediatrics

Perform critical procedures such as lumbar punctures, arterial lines, and chest tube insertions

Support OB / GYN and ED teams; no dedicated pediatric unit on site

Interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays) and EKGs

Requirements :

Board Certification : Required in Pediatrics

Certifications : ACLS, PALS, NRP

Licensure : Active Texas medical license

EMR System : Proficiency in MEDHOST preferred

Additional Information :

Must be available within a 30-mile radius during on-call shifts

Temporary privileges are available to expedite onboarding

Credentialing is expedited for immediate start
