Job Description
The Building Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Building Operations in executing and organizing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the community and its physical plant to maintain proper operations of the property.
- Assist in general operations of the maintenance department and housekeeping department to ensure that the community is maintained in a safe, clean and comfortable manner.
- Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping services and activities with other departments.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and capable of following directions involving:
- Troubleshooting, identifying problems and obtaining materials to fully repair all electrical difficulties.
- Planning, ordering and installing cabinets for remodeling of apartments.
- Repairing or replacing sheet rock, plywood and/or structural materials.
- Repairing resident furniture.
- Performing all painting requirements (interior/exterior) of the entire complex.
- Maintenance related tasks including lawn care, tree trimming and fertilization.
- Pool and spa maintenance.
- HVAC troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Compliance with policies and procedures to identify appropriate safety precautions and equipment to use when performing tasks that could result in bodily injury.
- Following an effective preventive maintenance program of cleaning, painting, maintaining equipment, etc.
- Coordinating maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their apartments.
Requirements
- Preferably one year experience in building industry, maintenance and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and structural matters.
- Possess knowledge of building construction types.
- Ability to analyze and assist with building maintenance problems.
- Ability to effectively interact with residents, families, team members.
- Displays sincere compassion towards older adults.
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
