Responsibilities
- Provide that critical first impression to our guests and have a natural passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Welcome customers in person every day.
- Comfortable using a computer to check in vehicles in and out to customers
- Able to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and confidently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Being able to call insurance companies to follow up on payment/estimate/liability status'
- Take detailed photos of vehicles brought into the facility for documentation and insurance purposes.
- Order parts required for vehicle repairs and ensure timely delivery.
- Update customers on the status of their vehicle repairs, ensuring they are informed throughout the process.
- Review damage reports, repair orders and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed.
- Create repair estimates for potential clients according to Modern Auto Center and insurance companies best practices/guidelines.
- Ensure estimate follow-up to maximize closing ratio.
- Collaborate with client experience personnel to ensure exceptional follow-up and service.
- Monitor vehicle production in collaboration with production and parts efficiency managers to ensure timely delivery.
Skills
- Experience in automotive office management or customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency in front desk operations and clerical tasks.
- Familiarity with vehicle repair processes and parts is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and follow-up.
Preferred but not required:
- High school or college automotive body repair diploma
- Collision repair experience in estimating/sales
- Some knowledge with estimating systems
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to use a computer
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent English and Spanish communication skills and be able to read, write and speak fluently. You will regularly use a computer and different software. This position requires continuous movement, and occasionally, you will have to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
