What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ready Mix Concrete Dispatcher position at Modern Concrete & Materials, LLC?
Pay would be adjusted based on experience. A competent Ready Mix Truck Dispatcher needs to be highly detailed and work well under pressure and fast pace to coordinate lots of changing factors. Responsible to assign appropriate equipment and personnel for completion of deliveries considering time, cost and service.
· General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
· One year of telephone service or order taking in a business environment.
· Previous Dispatch experience.
· Experience and knowledge of Construction and/or Concrete Industry.
· Has a great attitude and will enjoy learning new technology.
· Be available to work all hours and days, 50 hours per week.
· Knows how to strike the right balance between “can figure it out” and “asks for help when needed” in the sake of efficiency.
· Bilingual is a plus
· Assign appropriate equipment and personnel for completion of deliveries.
· Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and handle difficult circumstances under high stress situations.
· Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous and respectful of others.
· Using telephones and two-way radios extensively in a fast-paced environment.
· Detailed order taking with a large level of information to convey and collect.
· Quote pricing and explain procedures, safety requirements and other details to customers.
· Coordinate with sales, operations and customers to schedule the most advantageous job time.
· Direct driver activities and plan effective travel routes.
· Monitor and discuss work flow with co-workers, troubleshoot and problem solving.
· Ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20 - $19.60 per hour
