Who We’re Looking For

As part of Modern Currency’s Digital Studio, the L.A.-based Digital Marketing Executive (full-time) must have an innate hunger and passion for all things travel & hospitality (culinary / hospitality, travel, hotels, etc.), and a strong handle on the latest & greatest social media disciplines. The ideal candidate must be highly organized and creative, and possess a willingness to deploy a proactive and scrappy approach to driving digital campaigns for the agency’s award-winning luxury travel & hospitality clients. The Digital Marketing Executive must possess at least 2-3 years of direct experience in social media strategy / management (preferably with an PR agency / firm or like-minded hospitality and / or travel company) , with a true go-getter mentality. This position will co-exist with our PR campaigns, supporting collaborative digital opportunities for clients alongside a team of seasoned senior-level media industry professionals within an engaging boutiq ue agency environment.

The Digital Marketing Executive should stay ahead of trends, be thoughtful and creative, offer strong writing skills, never miss a deadline, have the ability to connect the dots, and possess a keen eye with attention to detail. The Position : Digital Marketing Executive

As the L.A.-based Digital Executive at Modern Currency (local applicants only), you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day administrative duties and responsibilities of digital client campaigns. Digital Executives work in an administrative capacity and report to the Digital Marketing Manager.

This is a remote position, however, all eligible candidates must be based in Los Angeles and have reliable transportation to support the Digital team with in-person meetings, influencer engagements, events, and photo / content shoots.

Who You Are

  • Experience : 2-3 years of social media experience in hospitality and / or travel, preferably in an agency setting, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite & Canva, Later, etc. Show us that you can post and create social media content for multiple brands.   • Passionate : High-energy, positive self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who is willing to go above and beyond to make a difference in a dynamic agency setting.
  • Detail-Oriented : Strong organizational skills and appreciates the art of dotting I’s and crossing T’s. The devil is in the details.
  • Social Media Enthusiast : Social media junkie–there’s no such thing as reading / watching / engaging / posting too much—bonus points for pop culture acumen and wicked photo skills.
  • Storyteller : Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong grammar and proofreading skills, including in-depth knowledge of AP Style
  • Team Player : Work alongside teammates and clients with professionalism, punctuality, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining a sense of humor.

Requirements, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Based in sunny Los Angeles, California ability to thrive in a remote working environment
  • Support MCPR Digital Strategy, influencer vetting, on-site photo shoots, influencer / media FAMs, and social media direction for relevant clients alongside the agency’s social platforms (IG, Twitter / X, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Service 4 – 5 top-tier client accounts across social media and influencer & digital marketing including MCPR Digital / Social; will report to Digital Marketing Manager & agency Vice President
  • Contribute to developing and ideating creative social media & digital ideas for client social plans, agendas, quarterly audits, and EOY Digital Recaps
  • Develop a cadence, style, and strategy for each client to ensure follower growth, posting consistency, optimal engagement, and accessibility
  • Ability to travel for client needs, visit local clients on a monthly basis to create fresh on-trend photo / video content; must have personal transportation
  • Assist in staffing on-property and in-studio shoots with digital & social media clients for the agency
  • Build targeted social media editor & influencer distribution lists and actively pitch, liaise, and engage on behalf of social media clients to secure meaningful, consistent, and goal-oriented results
  • Social media monitoring and reporting for client-related social media coverage; draft merchandising emails to share digital results with clients on a real-time basis
  • Develop administrative social media documents, including adding Digital discussion points to bi-weekly and monthly meeting / call agendas, quarterly PR / social plans, weekly and monthly client activity reports
  • Participate in client communication via email and bi-weekly and monthly agenda meetings / calls
  • Familiarity with digital and social media software and platforms including Later.com, Canva, Influencity, etc.
  • Responsible for reactive vetting & providing POV for influx of influencer requests on a daily basis for a variety of digital clients
  • Maintain & set parameters for on-brand and mutually beneficial social media editor & influencer visits, trips & partnerships
  • Consistently engage with followers across the various platforms, respond to messages / inquiries in a timely manner, facilitate social media influencer requests / visits, and conduct proactive outreach to influencers or partners who are on-brand and can help organically raise awareness
  • Create monthly reports for each Digital client showcasing growth, engagement, and analyzing trends
