Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.
Duties
- Printing Bill of Lading (BOL) and Certificate of Analysis (COA) for Shipments: The BOL serves as a legal document detailing the type, quantity, and destination of goods being shipped, and acts as a receipt of shipment when the goods reach their destination. The COA provides detailed information about the quality and specifications of the product, ensuring it meets required standards. Generating these documents daily ensures compliance and smooth processing of shipments.
- Confirming Label Production for Stock Products: Ensuring that all labels for stock products are prepared before shipment is vital for inventory management and regulatory compliance. Accurate labeling facilitates efficient tracking and delivery, and helps prevent shipping errors.
- Providing Paperwork and Labels to Warehouse Personnel: Delivering completed documentation and labels to warehouse staff ensures that shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This practice minimizes errors and streamlines the fulfillment process.
- Emailing or Faxing COAs to Customers: Sending COAs to customers upon shipment provides transparency regarding product quality and compliance. It builds trust and allows customers to verify that products meet specified standards.
- Emailing Signed BOL to Logistics Manager and Saving in Logistics Folder: Sharing signed BOLs with the logistics manager and storing them in a designated folder ensures proper documentation and easy retrieval for future reference or audits.
- Distributing Sample Orders to the Lab: Forwarding sample orders to the laboratory for production is essential for quality control and product development. This task, though performed irregularly, supports product testing and validation processes.c
- Scheduling Delivery Appointments for Raw Materials: Coordinating delivery times for raw materials ensures that production schedules are met without delays. Timely scheduling helps in maintaining inventory levels and supports uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
- Backing Up the Logistics Manager: Assisting the logistics manager as needed involves supporting various logistics functions, problem-solving, and ensuring continuity in operations during their absence.
- Performing Other Related Duties: Being adaptable to perform additional tasks as assigned contributes to a flexible and responsive logistics operation, allowing the team to address unforeseen challenges effectively.
