Responsibilities Include:
- Floating between different offices in the region to provide administrative and clinical support as needed
- Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering questions and assisting patients throughout their visit
- Collecting payments, checking insurance benefits, and obtaining authorizations
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
- Inputting patient intake information into electronic health records software
- Assisting the doctor, e.g., taking X-rays, filling syringes, and changing dressings
- Cleaning exam rooms and machinery
- Sterilizing equipment
- Dispensing durable medical equipment to patients
- Ordering and stocking supplies
- Scheduling follow-up appointments
- Occasionally answering phone calls
- Receiving shipments
- Maintaining a clean and organized work space and clinic
- Sending and receiving faxes
There will be a comprehensive training period to establish proficiency in each role.
Position requires a quick learner who is adaptable, detail-oriented, good at multitasking, and a team player. Must have good computer and iPad skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to travel to all of our different Tampa region offices when needed.
Strong customer service skills required.
Experience in healthcare and with electronic medical records systems recommended.
Spanish-speaker preferred.
