Modern Forge Indiana is a steel forging manufacturer located in Merrillville, IN. This family owned company has been in business for over 111 years and continues to grow with locations in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, and Texas.
We are currently seeking candidates for day to day desktop support and long-term project management. We are looking for an individual to coordinate, plan, and implement network and security activities in a multi-location manufacturing organization. Will join highly experienced IT team in determining and installing technology needs of the entire organization. Purview includes computer hardware, peripherals, networks, telecommunications systems, connectivity, cybersecurity, software and other technology systems related to company operations.
Qualified Desktop and Network Support Analyst will have 5 years of IT experience in operations with increasing levels of knowledge and responsibility as well as a Bachelors degree (or proficiency) in Information Technology, Network Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Qualified Desktop and Network Support Analyst will have strong critical thinking and decision making skills as well as be able to multi-task with efficient time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
Responsibilities may include:
- Monitoring daily operations, including cybersecurity, server hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Investigate, diagnose and repair hardware and software failures/issues. Monitor and document all findings/repairs via ticket system.
- Assist implementation of IT projects and solutions, including the design and deployment of cloud-based computing solutions for the organization.
- Monitor security and performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
- Research and analyze multiple solutions, with the intent to find cost-effective solutions that are holistic in nature.
- Monitoring daily operations, including cybersecurity, server hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Assess solutions/vendors and develop implementation strategies for new hardware and software solutions.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying hardware and systems so that they operate cohesively.
- Some travel may be required to support major project activity, likely 2-3 days per quarter.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
