Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Junior Mortgage Data Processor to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate and process loan applications to closing. Your responsibilities will include interviewing applicants in the processing stage of the mortgage loan to to gather financial information, evaluating creditworthiness, and completing loan contract timelines. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills and a deep understanding of current lending practices and regulations.
Responsibilities
Process loan applications
Communicate with all parties on a loan application
Report on financing decisions
Take mortgage applications from application to close
Work with the borrower and underwriting team to clear loan conditions
Provide updates to loan officers and 3rd parties on application status
Assist clients in understanding the terms and conditions of their contracts
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current financial services and types of loans
Keep detailed records for all accounts
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance, economics, or a related field or related experience, no DEGREE necessary
Previous experience in mortgage loan processing is preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, databases, and loan processing and banking software
