Bindery Utility - Three Knife Trimmer Operator

What the job duties entail:

• Learn to set up and run machines
• Quality Control prior to starting production based on job ticket specifications
• Quality Control - inspecting and stacking down books while job is running
• Employee may be required to operate additional bindery equipment
• Learn and utilize MIS system for data tracking
• Occasionally instruct and assist other employees as directed by a supervisor

• Must be quality minded and pay attention to detail
• Able to read and understand a job ticket
• Have a good work ethic and attendance record
• Take reasonable care of company property and equipment
• Comfortable working with machinery
• Able to read and understand both standard and metric measurements

What education and experience will be a good fit:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Mechanical knowledge or experience is highly appreciated

Physical Demands:

• Constant standing, reaching, and stooping
• Physical effort or strain including moderately heavy lifting (60 lbs.), pulling, and pushing activity

Schedule:

• Day Shift (12-hour rotating schedule, Monday - Wednesday; Thursday - Saturday, 6:00am-6:30pm)
• Salary: Starting at $15.00 hourly (experience-based compensation)
• Additional $2.00 differential for 12-hour shift
