Bobst Die Cutter Operator Job Description
Summary
The Bobst 106 Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of Bobst die cutting machines in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires expertise in operating die cutting equipment to produce high-quality print and packaging materials according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review job tickets and interpret project specifications to prepare for die-cutting jobs
- Set up and adjust the Bobst die cutter, including feeder settings, die lock-up, stripper, and delivery components
- Operate the die cutter efficiently while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process
- Perform make-ready procedures and necessary adjustments on dies
- Conduct quality inspections of cut materials, flagging and isolating defective products
- Maintain accurate production records, including waste, production time, and waiting time
- Perform preventative maintenance on die-cutting machinery
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
- Assist in training new operators and trainees

Work Environment
The position operates in a production setting with exposure to noise, requiring the use of hearing protection. The environment can be physically demanding, involving standing for long periods, bending, and lifting. Air-conditioned facilities may still be warm during summer months.
