Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping operations within a Behavioral Health facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in hospital/medical office cleaning and hospitality. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Shift: 11:00a-7:30p Rotating shifts. You will have 2 days off per week. Every other weekend off. Schedule made 1 month in advance.
Pay: $24/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
- Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
- Be willing to cover any openings regardless of shift.
This is a working position. Cleaning required.
- Empty trash containers
- Clean bathrooms
- Vacuum all carpeted floors
- Dust, mop, and sweep hard floors
- Dust all horizontal surfaces high and low
- Remove fingerprints and marks from glass and stainless-steel surfaces
- Maintain the cleanliness of closets and storage areas
- Notify Area Manager of any problems
- Perform other janitorial duties as required
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality/medical industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
Physical and Other Requirements
- Must get TB skin test and take drug screen
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Stand/walk for the entirety of the shift
- Bend/kneel/crouch/climb
- Professional and well-groomed appearance
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
