KITCHEN HELPER - Harrington, DE
(Mon-Fri) 8:30 am to 2:30 pm
$15.00 per hour with paid vacation and sick time
The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for assisting in preparing meals for the senior center's homebound clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in packaging and distribution of meals
- Ladles and portions food into serving trays
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas
- Assist with meal service and clean-up
- Operates a heat seal machine
- Stocks supply room with supplies and food and rotates inventory
- Transfers completed food packages to appropriate area for transport or storage
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory and stocking of kitchen supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Homebound Line Supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- ServSafe Certificate preferred but not required
