Modern Packaging is looking for a new sales leader – someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, dedicated to achieving not only company goals, but also personal goals. While your home base is remote, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with your prospects and existing clients approximately 60-70% of the time.

Does this work interest you?

  • Research and prospect for potential customers; develop new accounts from leads and prospecting efforts
  • Where required, maintain existing account relationships in a professional and profitable manner
  • Promote and sell Modern Packaging Filling equipment, and PDF Seal pre-die cut foil lids, and help establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base; develop, maintain, and execute a Regional Account Plan
  • Ensure we’re meeting all customer goals and objectives, with a focus on CSAT
  • Achieve and maintain annual sales goals
  • Maintain a prospect-customer CRM/database; develop and maintain sales reports aligned with company reporting mechanisms
  • Complete and submit properly prepared RFQs to Sales Department
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and solutions
  • Stay abreast of new technology, market developments, appropriate standards, and competitor offerings; keep current on trends from both market and technical standpoints
  • Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influencers, define gaps in products or services, and develop/implement the necessary tools to capitalize on opportunities
  • Partner with the Modern Sales Director to determine needs and priorities in the region; collaborate with marketing team to drive identified efforts

If this sounds like you, we want to connect!

  • 5 years of proven sales experience
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex project pursuits from discovery to close
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations, define value propositions and strategies to improve the company's position, and ensure recurrent revenue streams
  • Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce knowledge preferred
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, as well as mechanical and electrical bill of materials
  • Track record of assessing customer needs and aligning customized solutions based on company services/offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Advanced interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 60-70%, visiting prospects, existing customers, tradeshows, conferences, etc.
