Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual Business Personal Property renditions and reconcile clients’ fixed assets and financials
- Review assessments and file appeals as necessary
- Negotiate valuations with local appraisers while creating supporting documentation for hearings
- Process annual property tax bills and assist in billing preparation
- Maintain client data in a Property Tax software database
- Retain client relationships with a focus on minimizing property tax liabilities
- Respond to client inquiries and requests from taxing authorities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or business
- Licensed Property Tax Consultant by the Texas Board of Licensing and Regulation
- 3-5 years of consulting experience
- Understanding of Property Tax laws, exemptions, and abatements throughout the United States
- Experience with Property Tax software (PTMS, OneSource, or SigerTax)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
