Acquisition Program Manager -Missile Defense

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Acquisition Program Manager -Missile Defense to join our team in contributing directly to the success of our mission at OSD in Arlington, VA. In your role, you will provide on-site support to the government for DoD Missile Defense systems within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Space, Strategic and Intelligence Portfolio Management (SSIPM).

Responsibilities

As a Acquisition Program Manager -Missile Defense with MTSI you will provide on-site support to the government for DoD Missile Defense systems within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Space, Strategic and Intelligence Portfolio Management (SSIPM).

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• You will Use your in-depth understanding of DoD system acquisition; the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution Process; programs and missile defense policy to evaluate issues and provide recommendations at the SES level on the Missile Defense portfolio which includes multiple interceptor systems, ground/sea/air/space-based sensor, and command and control.
• You will support SSIPM acquisition oversight and portfolio management activity including working groups, integrated product teams, Missile Defense Executive Board (MDEB), multiple MDEB standing sub-committees.
• You Develop issue papers and presentation for senior department executives.
• Reviews and drafts congressional testimony, briefings and reports.
• Review acquisition documents, policy and briefings; provides staff support to community level working groups.
• Prepares read aheads and talking points.
• Supports program reviews and develops recommendations.
• Support GAO reviews and develop responses.
• Perform FOIA and security reviews, interface with industry.
• Participate in reviews, studies, analysis of alternatives.
• Coordinate initiatives across external offices and agencies.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10 years of work relevant work experience.
• 5 years of experience in DoD acquisition.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Missile Defense programs or Major defense acquisition programs.
• Higher Headquarters experience working directly with SES and General officers.
• Pentagon experience.
  
  

Educational Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, science, technical analysis, or acquisition management with, or a related field.
  
  

Certifications Desired

• DAWIA Level III
  
  

Clearance Requirements

• Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. (SCI required to work in customer office).
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
