Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Missile Defense Architecture Design Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. As a key member of our defense architecture team, you will be responsible for evaluating missile defense capabilities and providing architectural solutions to address national defense needs.
**Responsibilities:**
* Assess MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level
* Provide analytical expertise on adversary capabilities, systems engineering, and flight test and evaluation
* Evaluate the adequacy of the current BMDS approach and architecture to counter the threat and recommend courses of action for strategy, system improvements; and, identify alternate strategies for affordable, cost-effective, and technically advanced systems
* Contribute to development of MDS future architectures and roadmaps for integration of future capabilities, including advanced concepts, into the MDS architecture
**Requirements:**
* Master's Degree in STEM Field with 12 years, or BS in STEM Field with 20 years
* Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain an Top Secret/SCI
* Proficient understanding of the current MDS architecture
* Prior experience and understanding of the MDA mission
* Experience with application of M&S to defense architectures, HPC experience, MBSE experience are all pluses
* Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
* Systems engineering background or familiarity
