Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Defense Technology Specialist - Modeling and Simulation to join our team at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI). This role will involve providing technical advisement and support to the research and development of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) technologies within the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL).
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt software to address customer challenges in a professional environment. They will work closely with program managers, lead project engineers, and program teams to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical advisement and support to the research and development of EO/IR technologies
• Analyze end user requirements and provide recommendations based on scientific results and developmental risks
• Evaluate proposed projects for feasibility and applicability to relevant military mission areas
• Develop and present analysis results briefings to senior leadership
Requirements
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
• 8-10 years' experience with M&S and data analysis, MATLAB, and Python, image and signal processing
• Strong EO/IR data analysis and performance modeling computing skills
• Proficient knowledge of software development and/or software maintenance
• Experience working with U.S. Air Force customers
