Responsibilities
As a Electronic Warfare Test and Evaluation Engineer with MTSI, you will provide technical and project management assistance to the AATC in support of Guard and Reserve Electronic Warfare programs. The candidate's primary area of focus/responsibility will be providing flight test support to the Electronic Warfare Combined Test Force (EW-CTF) Director at AATC in Tucson, AZ.
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Assist AATC with requirement generation, test program execution, data analysis and fielding recommendations for the Electronic Warfare mission area across multiple platforms.
- Work as a test engineer at AATC. Technical support will overlap with multi-domain integration amongst all mission areas performed by Guard and Reserve forces.
- Tasks will include test program initiation, test program planning, test plan writing, test execution, data analysis, and test report writing.
- Tasks will also include support to National Guard Bureau (NGB) for program requirements generation, verification, and validation.
- Primary mission focus will be in support of the EW-CTF; however, all Guard and Reserve electronic warfare programs will be supported as determined by NGB and AATC.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 year's of engineering experience in a test environment.
- Provide expertise in the following areas:
- operational and developmental test planning & execution (particularly in the fighter aircraft environment);
- Test plan formulation;
- basic aircraft/system data bus architectures;
- radar systems (air-to-air and surface-to-air applications);
- and data analysis tools.
- Should have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
- Experience in direct interface with high-level government leaders, program offices, and industry vendors to advise and keep them abreast of latest technical and integration development as the candidate will be responsible for both conceptual and technical implementation of required hardware architecture.
- Must have a can-do attitude and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots and other aircrew.
- Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment, will operate in multidisciplinary teams, and must have a can-do attitude, self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Must have a strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and proficient in productivity software suites such as Microsoft Office.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in in Electronic Warfare system mission data development, software testing, practical engineering and/or test in support of military acquisitions/sustainment.
Tactical aviation flying background.
Familiarity with analysis programs and tools such as Python and MatLab.
Familiarity with DoD Electronic Warfare ranges.
Education Requirements:
- B.S. in technical discipline is required, preferably in aeronautical, electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering.
- Master's degree in a similar technical discipline, Desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
Capable of obtaining Top Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Travel Requirements:
- Moderate to high travel expected (>25%) approximately monthly with typical trips occurring intraweek. Occasional OCONUS travel may be required.
