Responsibilities

Team member of a multi-discipline, multi-source government/industry team providing engineering, engineering management and general technical and scientific support, services, and products as an integral member of MDA. Specific engineering activity support responsibilities include developing and managing engineering project plans; systems engineering analysis and process management; independent technical and programmatic assessment; technical performance assessments; requirements development and analysis; development of system architecture products; development and review of engineering requirements, CONOPS and integrated schedules; budget development and analysis; risk analysis and mitigation development.

Qualifications

• 20 Years of realted experience
• Active Secret Clearance 
• Masters Degree in STEM
• Makes teamwork a high-priority
• Is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) SME on MDA (i.e., has low spin-up time)
• Is a Missile Defense Systems (MDS) SME on key MDS components
• Has demonstrated longevity in current and prior work positions
• Open to team’s direction (e.g., vision, mission, strategy)
• Has a passion for change and transformation and willing to actively contribute to a product-oriented team
• Knows the history, composition, and function of the MDS
• Understands enterprise architecture
• Experience in Modeling and Simulation concepts
• Experience in software engineering concepts

Desired

• Has demonstrated a trust relationship with some level of senior leaders in current or prior positions, high level of discretion
• Is able to formalize concepts into products such as formal governance products (experience with memos, policy, strategies, reports, whitepapers, etc.)
• Understands systems engineering concepts, systems thinking, etc., particularly as applied at MDA (can think big picture, like to help things integrate and work together)

Desired but Not Required

• Understanding of organization and program management, particular as applied at MDA
• Understanding of technical and SE management principles, particularly as applied at MDA
