Space RCO Test Engineer
About the Role:
The Space RCO Test Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. provides System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to support the development and testing of advanced space hardware and software for national defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of program objectives in a high-speed environment.
- Draft technical documents to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Serve as program advisory lead for extremely time-critical technical projects, test projects, or tasks requiring appropriate level technical and project management expertise.
- Assist acquisition planning, market research, and drafting technical requirements and documents.
- Help the government assess the technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and timely delivery of program deliverables.
Requirements:
- Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience.
- Proven experience and/or qualifications in testing satellite systems.
- Knowledge of space system engineering, development, and manufacturing.
- Experience with Developmental Test or Operational Test at Service or Command level.
Education and Clearance:
- An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and special access program (SAP) eligibility.
Work Environment:
This position is full-time, on-site at Kirtland AFB, NM, and will require travel up to 25% of the time within the continental United States.
