Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer for Sustainment, you will assist with key efforts at the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) initiative.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Advising the government on MILSATCOM systems engineering and providing daily engineering support for sustainment activities.
- Collaborating with the Joint space warfighting community on sustainment tasks through established systems engineering processes.
- Conducting technical evaluations and producing thorough engineering products with the highest standards of quality.
- Assisting in technology readiness assessments and risk evaluations, collaborating with teams involved in Testing & Evaluation and Integrated Logistics Support.
- Participating in reviews of waivers, deviations, and deficiencies, as well as system allocations and compliance assessments.
- Conducting comprehensive enterprise-level engineering analyses to identify sustainment issues and proposing viable solutions.
- Performing studies and analyses across military air, surface, maritime, space, and cyberspace missions, focusing on system vulnerabilities and mission assurance.
Minimal travel required (less than 10%).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and fostering professional relationships.
- 4 years working in a competitive multi-contractor environment.
- 5 years of expertise in architecture, requirements definition, acquisitions, engineering/design, and verification.
- 4 years of relevant systems engineering and integration experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in requirements development, system documentation, and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to navigate complex issues.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across DoD and commercial sectors.
Please note that active DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory, and U.S. Citizenship is required.
The salary range for this position in Colorado is $100,000 to $120,000 annually, influenced by established government contract wages and individual qualifications.
