What are the responsibilities and job description for the Simulation Engineer - Edwards AFB position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc.?
We are seeking a skilled SIM Operations Engineer to support our operations at Edwards AFB, California. As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our simulation events.
With 8 years of experience in an engineering discipline and excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be responsible for participating in simulation event planning, reading and understanding customer requirements documents, translating customer requirements into simulation scenarios, and assisting in writing test/training support plans and other execution materials.
You will also become an expert on one or more systems that support simulation execution (NGTS, DIADS, etc.), program simulation area, entities, and environmental conditions to create new simulation scenarios to meet customer requirements, and participate in simulation event readiness reviews.
In addition, you will gain and maintain control room qualifications based on organizational standards, execute simulation start procedures, perform real-time simulation equipment/software troubleshooting to correct issues as they arise during simulation events, and attend and participate in simulation event debrief sessions.
Your responsibilities will also include executing data analysis and development of reporting products for customers, creating data requests per organization standards, delivering these data requests to data management personnel, processing, conditioning, or analyzing raw simulation data per test/training support plans and/or associated data analysis plans, and assisting with data packaging and delivery to customers per test/training support plans or associated data analysis plans.
This position requires active Secret security clearance granted within the last six years, with the ability to gain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
The expected pay range for this position in California is $140,000/year to $170,000/year, and we offer a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
