We are seeking a highly motivated PhD/ScD student to join our Infectious Disease Epidemiology team as a Summer 2025 Intern. This 11-week internship will primarily support the Norovirus (NoV) vaccines program, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world epidemiologic research, vaccine development, and decision-making.

Here’s What You’ll Do
- Gain hands-on experience in applying epidemiologic knowledge and methods to support vaccine development across the development lifecycle.
- Conduct epidemiologic analyses to assess the burden of NoV gastroenteritis and associated outcomes, informing public health interventions and vaccine strategies.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including Real-World Evidence (RWE) Analytics, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Clinical Development.
- Contribute to regular cross-functional discussions on evidence generation strategies for NoV vaccines, shaping research priorities and decision-making.
- Design and lead a descriptive epidemiology study utilizing administrative data to characterize norovirus disease burden in key populations, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
- Currently enrolled in a PhD/ScD program in Epidemiology or related field
- Strong background or interest in epidemiology and biostatistics
- Minimum GPA of 3.4
- Interest in vaccine development, pharmacoepidemiologic methods, and data-driven decision-making
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative yet independent work ethic
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAS, STATA, or R is strongly preferred
- Personal attributes: Strong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, team-oriented mindset, adaptability under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
