The Role

The Facilities Manager will manage third-party Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) vendors, oversee maintenance of major building utilities, and ensure adherence to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage uniform contracts to ensure supply levels are maintained, cost-effectiveness and compliance with site policies.
- Provide oversight and accountability for the third-party IFM vendor responsible for:
- Landscaping and snow removal services.
- Pest control programs and compliance.
- Food and beverage service contracts.
- Office space management, including supplies and facility usage.
- GMP Cleaning and non-GMP custodial
- Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the third-party IFM vendor hard services maintenance team responsible for major building utilities, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.
- Ensure facility infrastructure and systems are maintained per operational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address facility needs, space planning, and operational improvements.
- Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain compliance with GMP manufacturing regulations by owning, updating, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all facility maintenance activities are performed within the Maximo CMMS system, including proper documentation and timely work order completion.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure facility services comply with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Monitor system alarms and ensure appropriate alarm rationalization programs are established
- Work closely with Quality and EHS teams to meet compliance expectations for facility-related operations.
- Role requires on-site presence to ensure effective facility operations.
- May involve occasional after-hours support for emergency facility issues.
- Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience and certifications may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities or project management, vendor/team oversight, and maintenance within a GxP or regulated environment preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of utility systems specific to the pharmaceutical industry, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Experience with IFM vendor management and contract negotiations preferred.
- Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred) and maintenance workflow management.
- Understanding of regulated or GxP environments
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
