Here’s What You’ll Do
- PFD Documentation Organization
- Assist in organizing and compiling Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) across products and projects
- Gather and associate lead sheets, particularly those from vendor-produced PFDs
- Develop and implement a standardized “Moderna PFD Lead Sheet” template for use with Global Engineering-produced PFDs
- Maintain a structured and accessible inventory of PFDs and associated documentation
- Process Mapping to Batch Records
- Collect batch records corresponding to selected PFDs
- Map process steps from the PFDs to the appropriate sections of each batch record
- Document key material and equipment inputs for each process step
- Capstone Deliverable
- By the end of the internship, the intern will produce a summary report and presentation outlining:
- The standardized PFD documentation approach, including the finalized lead sheet template
- A representative case study that links a PFD to a full batch record, highlighting process flow, material inputs, and equipment mapping
- Recommendations for future documentation improvements or process automation opportunities
- Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related Life Science field
- Strong interest in Global Engineering
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and an eagerness to apply them in real-world scenarios.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A proactive approach to learning and applying new skills.
