The Role
This position provides an opportunity to join Moderna's expanding Commercial PMO within the Commercial Strategy team. Here’s What You’ll Do
- Manage enterprise-level product launches across multiple geographies, facilitating global and local launch team meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify potential risks that could impact project timelines and collaborate with teams to develop and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive launch project plans, ensuring timely updates to enable transparent project and program reporting to leadership
- Lead the development and refinement of launch playbooks, tools, and templates to ensure scalability and efficiency for future launches.
- Oversee the end-to-end launch process, ensuring all activities are executed on time and aligned with the broader commercial strategy.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Market Access, HEOR, R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial Supply Operations, to build and execute commercial launch plans.
- Define and document project scopes, goals, and deliverables that align with enterprise business objectives.
- Independently lead cross-functional launch teams while also providing project management support for initiatives led by others.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in pharmaceutical product launches, including product positioning, messaging, and regulatory considerations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business (BA/BS) or Life Sciences
- A minimum of 8 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consulting industries, with at least 4 years in roles supporting Commercial Operations, Product Operations, Marketing Operations, or Launch Project Management.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end launch planning and execution, including marketing, branding, and program management.
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as Smartsheet, and advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory requirements for product approval and launch readiness
- Strong track record in project management, risk identification and mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and adherence to timelines.
- MBA or master’s degree in a relevant area is strongly preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management credential is preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex pharmaceutical landscapes, including global launch processes and product positioning strategies.
- Proven ability to design and refine operational processes and develop playbooks, tools, and templates to support organizational scaling.
- Ability to quickly understand complex issues and their implications with limited information available.
- Experience working with cross-functional and globally diverse teams, including Marketing, Regulatory, HEOR, R&D and Medical Affairs.
- Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations
