Experience working with school age students, or verifiable units in child development or related field; High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate; Completion of forty-eight (48) units of higher education study or obtained an AA degree or successfully passed the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam. Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education, PK-12, Mild-Moderate Support Needs: Range 25: $19.43 - $27.37 per hour. 180 days per year. Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education, PK-12, Extensive Support Needs: Range 30: $21.94 - $30.88 per hour. 180 days per year. Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education, PK-6, Extensive Support Needs, Autism: Range 30: $21.94 - $30.88 per hour (advanced to range 34 after training). 180 days per year, plus 20 extended service days. Additional requirements: Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education, PK-12, Extensive Support Needs: District-approved Restraint Certificate must be obtained within six (6) months of employment and renewed as required. **********$1,000 INCENTIVE BONUS********* Additional requirements: Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education, PK-6, Extensive Support Needs, Autism: District-approved Restraint Certificate must be obtained within six (6) months of employment and renewed as required. 20 hours of successful autism in-service training with the passage of unit tests 80% or higher, within the first three (3) months of hire. - Hiring Incentive** Any out of district new hire who agrees to stay for a minimum of one (1) year will be paid a potential hiring incentive in the following manner: a. 50% to be paid within 45 days after the first day of paid contracted service. b. 25% to be paid within 45 days after the successful completion of the employee's probationary period (i.e., 6-months or 130 days as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement). c. 25% to be paid within 45 days after the successful completion of one year of paid contracted service.
