Akkodis is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a contract-to-hire job with a client in Dallas, TX/Tampa, FL(Hybrid). Requirements

Application Support Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Verify analysis performed by team members and implement changes to prevent incident recurrence.
- Resolve critical application alerts, including production defects, providing business impact analysis to teams.
- Review and update knowledge articles and runbooks with development teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions to application issues and escalate as needed.
- Validate and submit responses to requests for information during ongoing audits.
- Review and implement disaster recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, providing BCM evidence as required.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort in application monitoring.
- Partner with development teams to provide feedback during the design and development stages of applications.
- Implement pre-production and production application code deployment plans, including vendor application upgrades.
- Align risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to manage and mitigate risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in application support or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Oracle/SQL, and AWS technologies.
- Experience with ITIL processes, specifically in SNOW, and proficiency in monitoring tools like Splunk and Autosys.
