Salary Range: $60-75,000 based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

The Azure Data Engineer is responsible for the technology and data environment used to provide data development, support and administration for the Business Intelligence and Analytics platform, for reporting and analytics. The Azure Data Engineer will work on extracting, integrating, and migrating data across new and existing databases, facilitating advanced analytics and data processing capabilities.

Responsibilities Of The Remote Azure Data Engineer Job

• Build and managed data pipelines.
• Data Governance: Spearhead the development and enforcement of data management practices, ensuring the highest quality of data in our data lake and compliance with data privacy standards.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics team to share knowledge and improve data quality.
• Drive Automation through effective metadata management: The Data Engineer will be responsible for using innovative and modern tools, techniques, and architectures to automate the most-common, repeatable and tedious data preparation and integration tasks to minimize manual and error-prone processes and improve productivity.
• Participate in ensuring compliance and governance during data use: The Data engineer should work with data governance teams (and information stewards within these teams) and participate in vetting and promoting content created in the agency for governance and compliance.
  
  

Qualifications Of The Remote Azure Data Engineer Job

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 2-5 years of IT experience
• Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Semantic Model Definition or Star Schema construction.
• Hands-on delivery experience of end-to-end cloud data analytics solutions within Azure or AWS, required
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Servers, Azure Synapse or Azure SQL instance
• Advanced proficiency in relational database modeling, Data Mart design, SQL development, and performance tuning. Must be expert at SQL coding and troubleshooting.
