What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional/Program Specialist position at Modoc County Office of Education?
Job Summary
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities :
Provide support in Local Control Accountability Plan work, LEA Differentiated Assistance, and Multi-Tiered
System of Support.
Provide support to all MCOE programs.
Provide coaching / mentoring to instructional staff, countywide.
Attend student IEP's and Student Success Team (SST) meetings.
Attend MTSS, SEL, and PBIS Team meetings, when needed.
Assist teams in developing positive behavior support systems, educational goals and objectives related to
behavior and mental health needs and written instructional plans for students with behavioral plans to meet
student needs.
Act as liaison between clients, families, school personnel and community agencies; plan and conduct in-service
training for parents, students, district personnel and others.
Attend and / or plan, organize, and conduct program related meetings, coaching, trainings and workshops
countywide; participate in inter / intra agency planning and staff meetings as appropriate.
Review behavior and instructional practices and procedures.
Represent COE on county, region and state level committees as assigned.
Research, locate, and disseminate, countywide current behavioral and instructional resources.
Support student achievement by analyzing and interpreting data.
Stay current with best practices and state-wide initiatives.
Provide updates and reports on ongoing work.
Perform other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Five (5) years of teaching experience.
Three (3) years of Instructional / Program Specialist experience required.
Previous coaching / training experience.
Valid Teaching Credential.
Valid California automobile operator's license.
