Job Summary
This position involves working in a nursing leadership capacity within a long-term care facility. Key responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with hospital practices and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the DON in liaising with SNF nursing personnel
- Maintain quality patient care standards, adhering to physician orders and hospital policies
- Manage staffing schedules, payroll, and overtime authorization
- Conduct evaluations of SNF nursing staff according to facility policy
- Participate in recruitment activities as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Maintain accreditation and licensing documents, and stay informed of policy revisions and changes
Requirements:
- CA licensed RN
- Active CPR certification
- Three to five years progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably with direct personnel management
- Good physical and mental health, with previous experience in a long-term care facility
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Dependability, organization, reliability, and good attendance
- Ability to work well with co-workers, staff, and residents
