Description :
Goals : First (February 3-28), the intern will focus on foundational aspects of marketing operations, gaining an understanding of our core marketing processes and tools. The goal is to familiarize them with Modula’s CRM system (Salesforce) and data analysis processes, while building essential skills in market research and campaign support. Next (March 3-28) the intern will be immersed in more advanced aspects of marketing execution. The intern will be involved in promotional activities, content creation, and event planning, including hands-on experience at a trade show, with a focus on developing practical skills in marketing campaign management and cross-departmental collaboration. Last, (March 31-May 2) the intern will focus on integration and presentation. She will apply the skills and knowledge acquired in previous phases to independently handle certain tasks, participate in internal communications, prepare data-based presentations to support the sales director, and prepare a final presentation to senior management.
Objectives and Expected Achievements :
1. CRM Management : Learn to use Salesforce by assisting in data migration, performing data clean-up, and organizing contacts. The intern will be expected to understand how CRM systems support overall marketing goals and contribute to accurate database management.
2. Data Analysis : Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from recent marketing campaigns. By the end of this phase, the intern should be able to produce basic reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
3. Market Research : Conduct competitive market analysis to understand Modula’s positioning within the industry. The intern should compile research findings that can inform future marketing strategies.
4. Promotional Activities : Support the development and implementation of promotional activities across different channels, including social media, email, and web. By the end of this phase, the intern should understand how to execute multi-channel campaigns and measure their performance.
5. Graphic Content Creation : Design and create visual content for both digital and print media, aligned with Modula’s branding guidelines. The intern should demonstrate proficiency in creating effective marketing visuals using Adobe Creative Suite by the end of this phase.
6. Trade Show Participation : The intern will have the opportunity to attend and support one of our trade shows. Responsibilities include :
- Assisting with setup and teardown of the booth.
- Engaging with attendees, answering questions, and providing information about Modula’s products.
- Ensuring the booth and brand presentation align with company standards.
- Gathering leads, attendee feedback, and insights to share with the sales and marketing teams.
7. Event Support : In addition to the trade show, the intern will participate in planning and organization for other marketing events, including vendor sourcing, inventory management, and logistical coordination.
8. Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Work across departments to support cohesive marketing messaging and assist with project-related internal communications. By the end of this phase, the intern should be comfortable collaborating with various teams to ensure consistent communication.
9. Project Reporting and Presentation : Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing project results, key insights, and recommendations to Modula’s senior management. This will provide the intern with valuable experience in reporting and professional presentation skills.
10. Task Management : Continue supporting the marketing team’s daily tasks, demonstrating improved efficiency and task management by the end of the internship.
