JOB SUMMARY:
The BOM Specialist is responsible for creating, modifying and maintaining product Bills of Materials for all products. This person will analyze information from engineering drawings and specifications and develop the BOMs into the required format for entry into the MAS 90 system. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares BOMs for products based on data received from engineering, purchasing, sales and production.
- Structures BOMs based on the production step that item is used on.
- Maintains BOMs based on revisions to drawings and/or requirements
- Responsible for complete accuracy of the Bills of Materials
- Reviews BOMs against actual product usage and feedback
- Request new part numbers as required
- In coordination with the Engineering Director, CAD technicians and Engineering designers, identify data required and inform of missing data needed to complete projects
- Completes projects based on priorities set by Engineering Director
- Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- 1 years of related work experience
- Experience with electrical components is desired
- Efficient with MS Excel and other basic computer skills
- Experience with MAS 90 is preferred but not a requirement
- Must be detail oriented and familiar with interpreting drawings and shop details
- Must be able to work well with other departments
- Must read, write and understand Basic English
- Self-motivated and works well with or without supervision.
- Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
