JOB SUMMARY:
This is a hands-on supervisory role that will oversee a team of maintenance technicians to establish preventative and predictive production equipment maintenance. Schedule and supervise assigned staff to install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and tools in the plant. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs. Negotiate for and purchase parts and equipment from vendors. Responsible for controlling costs and ensuring work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Directing and supervising the activities of maintenance staff and ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Experience using CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Conducting inspections and assessments to identify necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Managing budgets and forecasts, including estimating costs for repairs and hiring specialized contractors when necessary.
- Familiarity with diesel engines and able to drive a forklift.
- Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Coordinating with other department heads to facilitate collaborative operations and minimize production interruptions.
- Implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance maintenance protocols and equipment reliability.
- Maintaining maintenance inventory and supply records.
- Providing training and support for maintenance personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience:
5 years of experience in maintenance operations, with proven leadership experience in managing teams.
Strong knowledge of the specific tools, equipment, and systems used in the industry.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent; trade or vocation education, certification in mechanical trades, manufacturing or construction preferred
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
