Moehl Millwork, Inc. is seeking skilled Trim Carpenters to join their Installation Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing interior and exterior trim, including baseboards, crown molding, doors, windows, staircases, cabinetry, and other custom woodwork. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of woodworking techniques to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install trim components accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Install doors, windows, baseboards, crown molding, and custom millwork.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and adjust installations to achieve the best fit and finish.
- Work collaboratively with other carpenters, contractors, and project managers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Trim Carpenter or in a similar role. Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects (preferred).
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and assembling woodwork.
- Familiarity with carpentry tools, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
- Knowledge of different wood types and their applications (preferred).
- Basic understanding of finishing techniques (staining, painting, sealing) (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and work on ladders or in confined spaces. The strength to handle heavy physical demands, lifting 50lbs frequently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
