What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Designer position at Moehl MIllwork?
Responsibilities:
- Design accurate kitchen and bath cabinet solutions using 2020 design software.
- Assess customers’ needs, guide their product selections in the showroom and on the phone, collaborate to understand project scope, timelines, budget, educate about cabinet products, demonstrate their use, recommend alternatives, and upsell products and services.
- Propose, estimate, and assist in selling products, emphasizing function, design details, and construction materials within the client’s budget.
- Develop and write purchase orders and quotes to present to customers with the goal of creating a sale.
- Respond with urgency and flexibility to meet project deadlines and follow-up with suppliers and customers.
- Conduct scheduled in-home/job site consultations, including measuring, taking pictures, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Prepare final installation packets with all drawings and specs; revise designs and quotes as needed based on project scope, budget, or customer preferences.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in kitchen/bath design or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of 2020 software and cabinet design.
- At least one year of sales and customer service experience selling to contractors and builders, architects and designers, and homeowners in the building products, interior design, home improvement, or other similar industry (preferred).
What we offer:
Competitive pay based on experience ranging from $20-$24 per hour plus you will have an opportunity to earn Team Incentive Performance (TIP) pay when the team achieves performance targets. Generally, your full-time work schedule is Mon – Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
