Position Summary:
The Installer/Service Technician provides dealers and their customers with post sales field service in a professional and courteous manner that promotes customer loyalty and enhances the customer experience. Responsibilities for this position include; evaluating product concerns and installation details, making necessary repairs, and documenting findings and actions in written reports.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to installation sites to evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues or concerns with product and to provide repair service
- Skillfully perform product repairs as scheduled in a variety of residential and commercial settings
- Assist and communicate with dealers and customers in a professional manner demonstrating care and concern for their property
- Maintain proper parts inventory and tools on vehicle to achieve optimum job completion, order replacement items as needed and maintain an accurate inventory
- Accurately complete written reports of field service findings and submit reports at the end of each shift
- Communicate trends of recurring field service issues to Marvin Service Coordinators via e-mail
- Complete daily driver logs and vehicle inspections reports and submit documents at the end of each shift
- Maintain tools and service vehicle in a clean, orderly and safe operating condition and immediately inform supervisor of any service needs or safety concerns
- Maintain technical knowledge of Marvin products; including warranty, installation and parts
- Attend presentations in product, service and installation training and other meetings as required
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, sharing information and effectively communicating both field findings and customer satisfaction levels
- Need to have prior experience in trim carpentry
- Perform additional duties as required or requested
