Job Description

As the Vice President, Strategic Sales for the Moen Multi-Family Business Segment, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful achievement of sales, profit, and market share objectives across the Moen wholesale multi-family business which includes Multi-Family, Student Housing, Sr. Living, Military Housing, and single family for rent segments. In this role, you will be defining, developing, and managing the implementation of sales strategies to grow and further develop these segments.

You will be managing a very tenured and strong team of strategic account managers and providing strategy and guidance to the business development team for a segment that has seen consecutive growth over the years.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and demonstrated experience setting and executing overall sales strategies at the national level for a large building products manufacturer. They will have experience in multi-family sales, strong negotiation skills, and a demonstrated history of recruiting, developing talent, and managing a large team. You will also be able to travel domestically 50-60% of the time.

This role is designated as a hybrid role which includes working at least 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in our North Olmsted, OH Corporate Office to foster better collaboration, connection, and innovation. We are targeting a base salary range of $180-220K with bonus potential.

What you will be doing:
  • Provides leadership and guidance directly to Multi-Family Strategic Account Managers, Single Family for Rent Sales Managers/Strategic Account Managers, and Multifamily FLO Strategic Account Managers.
  • Ensures that the Multi-Family Strategic Account Managers retain existing customers, add new accounts, and develop/drive new initiatives and processes to ensure top line growth.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key segment customers at the executive level, plans field travel accordingly.
  • Plays an active role on the US Wholesale Sales Leadership Team taking on special assignments/projects as needed; collaborates with peers responsible for Field Sales to ensure optimal execution at the regional level.
  • Responsible for sales strategy for the Multi-Family/Single Family for Rent segments for the wholesale field, with a dotted line to the Non-Single Family Business Development Managers.
  • Works with the wholesale Strategic Account Managers and Regional VP leadership team on driving key segment revenue growth initiatives.
  • Works with BI, Finance, Sales OPS, Inside Sales, marketing, and product leadership on key segment revenue margin growth, and training initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key MRO wholesaler sales leadership roles to drive team selling and attachment of the Moen/CFG assortment.
  • Manages a stakeholder position with Innovation and Product teams responsible for the support of FLO multifamily.
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing to shape the three-year strategic direction for all the Multifamily/SFR Family Segments
  • Provides oversight and direction regarding decisions on the Commercial and Residential product lines affecting assigned segments including product planning, pricing, forecasting and deletions.
  • Participates/leads the hiring, development, and retention of the Strategic Accounts Team
  • Ensures optimal market coverage for all accounts, modifies as needed throughout the year
  • Cultivates and fosters an environment of high performance through performance management, employee development, career progression and rewards and recognition.
  • Keeps senior leadership informed of sales activities in the MF/SFR segments to ensure they are knowledgeable of relevant issues including business trends, distribution patterns, competitive practices, and product performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales and management experience, including at least 5 years of sales management responsibility
  • Demonstrated strong analytical ability coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success and track record in delivering results in demanding market conditions.
  • Ability to travel 50-60% and work non-standard hours as needed.
