Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56,180 USD - $64,064 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.

The Warehouse Inventory and Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for managing the warehouse profile to ensure best picking efficiency and storage capacity for the Distribution Center. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate master data and ensuring its accuracy. This role involves managing the inventory profile, identifying process improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions to streamline operations to support the production team.
- Manage warehouse profile to ensure best picking efficiency for the Distribution Center. This includes all areas of the warehouse including: Pick to Belts, Autostore, Pallet Racks and Specialty areas.
- Collaborate with material planners and utilize available SAP reports to analyze incoming freight as it relates to slotting.
- Directs consolidation activities as required to maintain sufficient storage locations.
- Maintain master data in SAP/E4P regarding storage facility.
- Utilize Cubiscan machine to maintain accurate DIMS and weight of product within our SAP system.
- Utilize Logivation slotting program to manage material movement activities to maximize best storage profiles for finished goods product in distribution facility.
- Generate weekly reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends. Develop action plans for under-performing metrics.
- Collaborate with corporate packaging engineers and approve all pallet layouts.
- Oversee completion of physical movements of products in facility.
- Maintain set-up, removal and sorting of warehouse bin locations.
- Collect and analyze data on warehouse operations and performance metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year Inventory profiling and slotting experience is required. 2 years experience is strongly-preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel required.
- Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis is required.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. College degree and/or certification related to supply chain management is a plus.
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Previous experience working in a distribution center is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies a plus
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication and to propose logical solutions with minimal input and oversight.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and receive direction and guidance from multiple people.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Must have the ability to pay close attention to details.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, production-driven environment to ensure deadlines are met.
