    Job Title: Craig Middle School Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach
    Location: Craig Middle School
    Reports to: Craig Middle School Head Boys Wrestling Coach and Activities and Athletic Director
    Date of Availability: 2024-2025 Middle School Wrestling Season, Season Start Date: February 3, 2025
    Date Closing: Open Until Filled

    • Salary: Salary range for this position is $1,654 - $2,035. Salary commensurate with experience on the extracurricular pay scale.

    Summary: Craig Middle School is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and team oriented candidate to fill an Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach position for the upcoming season.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assisting with coordinating all levels of the program and summer/off season programs
    • Implementing of expectations and direction of the program.
    • Preparation of team and individuals for competition
    • Teaching fundamental and advanced skills of wrestling
    • Communication with parents, players, school staff, media and assitional as directed
    • Following school and CHSAA regulations and policies


    Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Previous wrestling coach experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of wrestling
    • CPR/First Aid Certified
    • Be willing to be part of a team environment

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of all aspects of the Moffat County School District activities and athletics progams
    • Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with students

    Benefits include: PERA retirement, and other optional benefit elections. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week as defined by their position are also eligible for the district’s health insurance.

    Qualifications Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Language Skills: Ability to read and analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to run; stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs. The employee must occasionally push items of 75lbs. or more, such as moving/rearranging sports or field equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.


    Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. These employees spend most of their coaching time outside and they are exposed to a variety of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and is a standard acceptable level for this environment.
