- Maintains confidentiality regarding all information concerning free and reduced applications.
- Maintains POS Systems
- Makes copies of free and reduced lunch forms to send to all schools at the beginning of the year.
- Enters free and reduced lunch information on the computer according to the state requirements.
- Processes each free and reduced application and sends correct forms to parents, schools, and cashiers.
- Types any other correspondence as needed for the food service department
- Compiles data for monthly and bimonthly state reports
- Processes daily worksheets and mail
- Balances bank statement monthly
- Compiles information for and works with director to prepare budget
- Collects all bills each month and prepares them for payment.
- Has and maintains open and frequent communication with cashiers at each site
- Travels out of town for mandatory trainings.
- Other duties may be assigned

Summary: Provides secretarial and bookkeeping services for the food service program.
*Salary: $17.68 - $27.40, Placement on the Classified Compensation schedule is commensurate with experience.

Education/Experience- High School Graduate or equivalent; demonstrated computer skills; knowledge of the office practices, procedures, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Need to have the ability to be able to use various office machines.

Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities-
Basic knowledge of accounting and banking procedures. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to organize work with a minimum of supervision. Ability to deal with confidential matters in a professional manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the students, staff, and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to preform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Anility to operate a cash register and count change.
