FLSA Status: Non-ExemptPOSITION SUMMARYPerforms a variety of para professional case services functions, including, but not limited to: coordinating supervised visits between parents and children; teaching life skills classes; providing transportation services to clients; and coordinating placements, meetings, etc., related to child services, supporting foster parents, etc.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education and Experience: · High school diploma or GED; and,· Three to four years of progressively responsible related experience; or,· Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Licenses and Certifications: · Valid Colorado driver's license (depending on assignment)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (All responsibilities may not be performed by all incumbents.)· Assists casework staff by performing para professional case services functions, including: coordinating and participating in supervised visits with parents and children; assuring that all parties abide by visitation rules; documenting visits; coordinating client transportation needs; transporting clients to appointments; conferring with foster parents, clients, school officials, lawyers, etc., regarding child services issues; arranging and staffing counseling programs; obtaining and disseminating medical information to appropriate parties; completing related forms and documents; maintaining various, related records, reports, logs, etc.; sending information to the State; and obtaining and maintaining information on clients to create historical information.· Teaches life skills, including: household and financial management, child safety, nutrition education and related skills.· Testifies in court.· Prepares complex, routine and non‑routine reports utilizing a variety of software; receives, sorts, and summarizes material for the preparation of reports; prepares work reports; develops charts and graphs; prints various reports; relays and interprets administrative decisions, policies and instructions.· Organizes and maintains various filing systems.· Composes correspondence in accordance with standard policies; answers various inquiries; explains policies and procedures and arranges appointments; processes orders and updates manuals; processes routine and non‑routine matters independently.· Reports administrative and/or operational problems to supervisor.· Performs specialized research and statistical work on assigned subjects for staff and management.· Enters information into a computer terminal; uses the computer system to retrieve a variety of daily, monthly and yearly reports; maintains routine financial records.IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS: · Photocopies reports, memos, and other various documents for requesting parties; develops various forms.· Disseminates a variety of information to various agencies, divisions, or departments via telephone, mail or FAX.· May serve as backup for other positions within the department.· Performs other related duties as assigned.Moffat County is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Females/Minority/Veterans/Disabled/ Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityQuestions?
