Design Technician - Electrical - Mid/Senior Level

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Design Technician to join our Sao Paulo office.  The right candidate will have 15 years of experience in drafting for civil projects with an electrical background.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
• Assist designers and technicians with preparation and review of engineering drawing packages
• Transform initial rough designs and ‘mark-ups’ into finished working documents
• Draft detail drawings of electrical and associated project components, layouts, and configurations

Qualifications:

• A sound knowledge of engineering design principles and construction methods
• Over 10 years of experience in electrical design  
• AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience
• English language – Intermediate (Willing to improve English skills is a must) 
• Good interpersonal relationship
• Critical thinking profile
• Knowledge of Microsoft office Suite
• The ability to meet deadlines while performing under pressure
• Successful experience working in a dynamic environment with multiple project responsibilities
• Ability to understand and complete projects with minimal supervision
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Physical requirements:

Sedentary for long periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally
