Senior Federal Program Manager/Project Director

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field.  We are actively looking for a Senior Federal Program Manager/Project Director.  This role will lead the strategic planning for specific Federal clients as well as help Moffatt & Nichol continue to grow into resiliency, and other areas the company’s services are aligned with.  They will be a leadership resource in troubleshooting large, complex federal and state projects and bring valuable expertise for conflict resolution.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversees overall project performance, achievement of client and company goals, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborates with project manager(s) to develop a comprehensive project approach and plan, ensuring alignment with schedule and budgetary requirements
• Approves project approaches and plans to ensure strategic direction and successful execution
• Develops and implements the client care plan to foster strong, long-term relationships and enhance client satisfaction
• Addresses and resolves elevated client concerns or demands not managed by the project manager(s), conducting debriefs at key project milestones
• Mentors, guides, and advises project managers while holding them accountable for project success, assisting with team assignments, and approving staffing requests
• Participates in major project reviews, assesses project progress reports, and implements necessary change activities to ensure project objectives are met
• Assist developing and implementing client/opportunity capture strategies for Federal, State, and local clients

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; required
• 20 years of experience in leading civil engineering, water resources, and program management projects for the federal government; required
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure; required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; preferred
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification; preferred
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
