Our Savannah, GA office is seeking two Civil Engineers with structural engineering coursework and entry-level to 2 years of experience for IMMEDIATE HIRE OR NO LATER THAN JULY 2025. The successful new hires will focus on waterfront/marine structural projects. This position provides you with an opportunity to grow within the engineering profession by participating in the design of large-scale, highly complex waterfront structural engineering projects at the fastest growing container port in the United States! Work will be completed under the guidance of a talented team of waterfront structural engineers and designers. The successful candidates will have well-developed technical skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in the conceptual development and design of waterfront structural projects in the container shipping, defense, bulk material handling, and oil and gas industries
- Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete and steel structures
- Analyze static and dynamic loading on laterally performing structures including the impact of soil-structure interaction
- Develop finite element models of marine structures using SAP2000 and Xtract
- Prepare calculations and document design information for completed designs
- Coordinate structural detail development with engineers and drafting technicians
- Perform site inspections and condition assessments of existing structures
- Obtain hands-on experience by performing field inspections for construction projects you have participated in during design

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis required. Master of Science in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis preferred
- Entry level to 2 years of experience. Previous experience or internship/cooperative education in heavy civil, structural, or marine/waterfront design is strongly preferred
- Engineer In Training certification
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or comparable drafting platform is required
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or comparable equivalent is required
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- This position requires the new hires to be seated in our Savannah, GA office and is not a remote opportunity
- New hires must be available immediately or no later than July 2025
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Physical requirements:
Majority of work is office based. Site visits will necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
