Summary
The Innovation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the coordination of intellectual property protection, agreement preparation, the analysis of industry business intelligence and legal intelligence. The intellectual property protection includes various protection vehicles such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights and governmental (iEdison) reporting. The agreement preparation includes preparing, analyzing, and modifying intellectual property agreements. The business intelligences services includes gathering, analyzing, and reporting on business intelligences from prospective industry partners.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with a records database.
- The candidate will have experience with legal document drafting, legal analysis & research, intellectual property protection & management, or business intelligence gathering & analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Intellectual Property Protection - assists with trademark searching, copyright and patent filing, and patent/trademark prosecution
- Agreement Preparation - assists the office with preparing of intellectual property and agreements
- Business and Legal Intelligence - gathering, analyzing, and reporting on industry business intelligence
- Business Records Management - creates and updates intellectual property and agreement records in department database and on shard network drive
- Database Administration - administers department database to meet office needs and generate stakeholders reports
Credentials and Experience:
- Associate's Degree required with a Minimum of three (3) years of experience in any of the following areas: legal document drafting, legal analysis & research, intellectual property protection & management, and business intelligence gathering & analyses is required.
