Summary

Position Highlights:

Provides for the efficient operation of the Supply Chain by receipt, storage and the distribution of supplies to all patient care areas throughout the Cancer Center. Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision and be able to walk and stand throughout the entire day. Must be able to follow instructions and work quickly and accurately. Supports the Strategic Goals and the Mission of the Cancer Center.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Associate’s Degree
• One (1) year experience with vendor management software and in-person (customer service) interactions preferred. Specific Pyxis experience
• Mobile Supply Chain Management (MSCM)

Responsibilities:

• The Supply & Distribution Clerk is responsible for counting PAR locations, pulling orders to include PAR locations, Pyxis and Requisitions to include answering STAT phone calls and delivering product
• Distribution and stocking of patient care supplies throughout the Center
• Check expiration dates on products and inventories Pyxis machines
• Alerts Manager of potential shortages
• Attention to detail is a requirement in verifying descriptions, quantities and units of measure
• Must have the ability to stand and walk thru the entire workday, together with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carry and unload supplies with a general high level of physical activity on a daily basis.
• Must have written and verbal skills as well as good telephone etiquette, excellent customer service required
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all departments throughout the Center.
• Must be self-motivated and work independently, complete assigned tasks in the required timeframe and assist in other duties as required by the Manager
• Required to adhere to a flexible work schedule to meet hospital and departmental needs
• Must maintain proper attendance in accordance with guidelines set forth by Human Resources

Credentials and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of two (2) years supply chain and distribution experience directly involved in distribution and receiving operational support within a healthcare facility, medical durable goods management, educational facility or similar supplier/distribution business
• One (1) year working specifically in Healthcare Supply Chain and Distribution environment is required (may be inclusive of other experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.95 - $17.50 per hour
